Credit Cards in Norway
Credit card for travellers
The Bank Norwegian credit card offers Norwegian Reward loyalty points, which can be exchanged for free flights.
With traditional frequent flyer programs, passengers are rewarded for every flight they take. While that’s also the case with Norwegian Reward, members can quickly accrue points through the use of the Bank Norwegian credit card.
The credit card comes with no annual fee, a real bonus when compared to some other travel-related credit cards that come with an annual fee of hundreds of kroner. The card earns you 1% cashback in the form of Cashpoints on all purchases you make with the credit card.
To apply for the Bank Norwegian credit card, you must:
- Be at least 23 years old
- Be a resident of Norway and have delivered a full tax return
- Have an annual income of at least 200,000kr
- Not have any payment defaults against your name
If your everyday monthly spending on items like food, clothing, fuel, and other products totals 15,000kr over the course of a month, that’s 120kr in Cashpoints. Over the course of a year, that’s 1,800kr, which is enough for one, possibly even two return flights with Norwegian, all without taking into account any points you may have earned through flying with them!
If you use your Bank Norwegian credit card when booking airline tickets with Norwegian, you will receive a total of 20% Cashpoints on Flex tickets and 5% on regular tickets. If 50% or more of your trip is paid for with the Bank Norwegian credit card, you will also be covered by the company’s travel insurance.
Eff.rente 23,10%, kr 15.000 o/12 mnd. Totalt kr 16.764,- / Effective interest rate 23.1%. The total repayment of 15,000kr over a 12 month period would be 16,764kr.
