Svalbard

The world’s northernmost destination you can reach by regular scheduled flights, the Svalbard archipelago is a truly special place.

More than 2,000 people live on the islands, the vast majority of those in the main settlement Longyearbyen. But humans are merely guests here. The icy islands are home to more polar bears than humans, along with populations of Arctic fox, wild Svalbard reindeer, ringed seal, and the rock ptarmigan.
